A Week in North Mississippi

A retreat to the country. North Mississippi.

We took up residence for a week at Birdland, lovingly stewarded by our friend. Thoughtful conversations weaved in and out of our entire time there. Revelations. Watched the birds - cardinals, warblers, blue jays, sparrows, hawks, woodpeckers, turkey vultures and eagles. Took brief yet daily adventures outside in the cold. Made things for fun and function. Fell asleep thinking of others. Holding space eternally.

Returned home. Hearts full. Amazed by the vastness of nature. Overcome with all its beauty even in the gray days of winter.
